Nuzvid Woman Commits Suicide

Nuzvid: A woman committed suicide only six months into marriage in Bapu Nagar in the town on Saturday. According to police, migrant from Rajasthan, Khushboo (19) and Repani Raju, a Bapu Nagar resident, had a love affair and got married in December last year. Since then, Khushboo is learnt to have been residing at Raju's house while working as a labourer. Depressed over their daughter's love marriage, Khushboo's parents recently migrated to Piduguralla in Guntur district.

On Saturday afternoon, Raju returned home from work, only to find his wife hanging from the ceiling fan. With the help of neighbors, Raju shifted Khushboo to the local hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. SI Ranjith Kumar reportedly registered a case on the grounds of unsuspicious death and started investigation.

The body has been kept at the Area hospital for autopsy, after which the police will conduct a full-scale investigation, it is learnt.
