Court Raps Cops For Booking YSRCP Leader Under Attempt-to-murder Case

Eluru: District Court on Saturday sanctioned bail to Kottu Satyanarayana, former MLA and YSRCP leader, who was arrested on charges of attempt-to-murder case under section 307. Court also rapped Tadepalligudem police for their over enthusiasm to please Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao and booking a case relating to hoisting of banners under Section 307 of the IPC (attempt to murder).

Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao and his followers removed them and this resulted in a group clash. Since the minister was involved in this incident, Tadepalligudem police arrested Kottu Satyanarayana under section 307. However, court has ordered the police to change the section from 307 to 324. Later Kottu Satyanarayana was released on bail.
