Court directs police to file case against KCR
Following a complaint by an advocate that TRS Chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao made ‘improper’ remarks against Prime Minister and the country, a court in Khammam has directed the police to register a case against KCR.
It may be recalled that KCR said a Chaprasi (peon) in Parliament is more intelligent than Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
While addressing a gathering during the 'Samara Deeksha' at Indira Park last year (January 28), KCR made this controversial statement much to the disgust of the ruling party.
Advocate Gollapalli Rama Rao filed a petition against KCR in the First Class Magistrate court of Khammam for making remarks against Manmohan Singh.
Admitting the petition, the court issued orders to the Khammam police to file cases against KCR under sections 420, 506,505,504, 124 A, 120 of the Indian Penal Code.
