Couple mortgages 2 daughters for Rs 45,000 loan

In a bizarre incident, a couple allegedly mortgaged their two daughters after they failed to repay a loan of Rs 45,000.

Reports confirmed that the couple handed over their two daughters in lieu of the loan they have taken. The atrocious incident took place at Mythapur in Raikal mandal of Karimnagar district. The girls were forced to work as bonded labour in the house of the money-lender. A case has been registered to this effect.
