Constable, on election duty, raped a lady

One constable, Durga Reddy, who came for election duty at Duggepalli village in Tripuraram mandal in Nalgonda district, allegedly raped a lady.

The police registered a case and started their investigations on the matter.

As part of the duty, the constable took an auto for rent to do his patrolling duty on the eve of elections.

The constable went to the house of the auto driver on Saturday night. Then he misbehaved with the wife of the auto driver and raped her later.
 
She informed the matter to her relatives immediately and all of them went to the police station to complain the same to the police.

As per the reports, the police did not respond immediately. The police took into custody their constable only after the relatives of the lady protested before the police station.
