Comments by Nara Lokesh are to Divert Public Attention: YSRCP

Nakkapalli: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh is making comments on the YSR Congress to divert public attention from the poll promises of the TDP, YSR Congress leader Gudivada Amarnath said.

Addressing the media here on Friday, he said the TDP has made several promises during the 2014 elections that include loan waiver for farmers, regularisation of services for contract workers and inclusion of Kapus in BC list. However, as it has failed to fulfill these promises, it is now resorting to tarnishing the image of the YSR Congress MLAs to divert attention from those promises, he said.
The poor showing of the TDP in the recent GHMC polls in Hyderabad indicate the declining popularity of the TDP, he said and added that the party should focus on retaining its MLAs in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh rather than making comments on YSR Congress MLAs. Taking a dig at the TDP leadership, Amarnath said that if permitted TDP members would join the YSR Congress in large numbers.
