CM asked to seek legal opinion on cabinet decisions: Anam
Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy said that the Chief Minister, Kiran Kumar Reddy had been advised by his colleagues to seek legal opinion on the constitutionality of decisions taken by the cabinet.
He was speaking to the media after 22 ministers met the Chief Minister in the light of developments that followed the charge-sheeting of Dharmana Prasada Rao by the CBI. The Revenue Minister who is embroiled in the Vanpic case has since resigned though his resignation is yet to be accepted by the government.
Anam added that the party's very survival was at stake if more ministers were to be charged and jailed. He said that the Chief Minister promised to take up all aspects of the matter with the high command.
