Class Three Student Made to Carry Sandals for Not Coming to School in Shoes

Class three student Tanmai - Sakshi Post

Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh): A class three student, Tanmai, was allegedly made to carry his sandals on his shoulders by a teacher as a punishment for coming to school without shoes in Shamli district near here.

The teacher, Aruna, of Pride Academy in Shamli district then made Tanmai walk in the classroom carrying his sandals. The boy had told her that he sustained an injury to his leg forcing him to give up shoes on Saturday. However, the teacher allegedly went ahead with the strange punishment.

The student's father Virender Singh filed a police complaint alleging that the teacher garlanded him with the sandals the boy was wearing yesterday at the school in Bharisi village in the district. Kandhla Police Station SHO Anuradha Singhal said that police are investigating the matter.
