Nalgonda: Due to the heavy rains for two days in upper catchment areas, a massive influx of water is flowing into the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir which had not received water to Full Reservoir Level though Telangana state received an unprecedented rainfall for last one month. The water level of the reservoir is on the rise.

The largest reservoir is receiving 66,616 cusecs of floodwaters and the water level has reached to 536 feet. The FRL is 590 feet and the outflow is 1000 cusec. The current figure of water storage at the dam is 180 TMC whereas the total storage capacity of Nagarjuna Sagar is 312 TMC.
