Class 3 Boy Beaten Up By Teacher; Action Initiated Against School In Vijayawada
Hyderabad: In yet another case of corporal punishment on school children, a class 3 boy sustained bruises on his legs after being beaten by his class teacher for not doing class work and was later given transfer certificate (TC). AP HRD minister Ganta Srinivas Rao initiated action against the school and asked the DEO to submit a report on the incident.
The boy Yashwanth went to school on Saturday after 10 days gap as he met with an accident. However, he was beaten up by teacher due to uncompleted notes. Later, when his father Rama Murthy who saw the bruises on his child questioned the school management on Monday. Following which, Yashwanth and his brother studying in class 5 at Vikas Public School in Prasadampadu were given TC.

He then filed a case with Patamata police, adding, "Private schools loot parents by charging exorbitant fees while ignoring the safety of the children."
