‘Chick’ Puts Vijay Devarakonda In Trouble

Vijay Devarakonda, the most happening hero in Tollywood has drawn the ire of netizens. You will be shocked to know the reason for him drawing flak over his comment.

It all started with the release of Vijay's upcoming film Mahanati Poster. The matter took a serious note after Vijay termed the poster of Mahanati a “chick” which features Keerthy Suresh and also Savitri. Soon, netizens demanded an apology from him for calling the yesteryear actress chick, terming it despicable.

A user wrote, “chick endhi ra araiiiii.... give some respect to seniors”. However, some lent Vjay support stating that it refers to a beautiful woman.

But then came a string of Tweets from Vijay, giving a reply to his trollers. He took a jibe at the trollers stating that the then moral police had called Savitri a “home breaker and an alcoholic”.

He further took potshots at them, saying that if they want to do moral policing on his writing, they could apply for a position in his digital team – Team Deverakonda for jobs.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film will hit the marquee on May 9. The movie also features Malayalam actor Dulquer Salman, who will be seen as Gemini Ganesan and Anushka Shetty as actor Bhanumati. Samantha too has a crucial role in the movie and Vijay Deverakonda is playing the role of a journalist.
