Chevireddy Finally Released After Six Hours Of Confinement
The police released YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, who was arrested for protesting the highhanded behaviour of TDP MP Kesineni Nani and MLA Bonda Uma against AP Transport Commissioner Balasubrahmanyam, after 4 pm.
Chevireddy was confined for over six hours at the Mangalagiri police station and the police even tried to prevent the other YSRCP leaders from meeting him. They closed the gates of the police station and did not allow the YSRCP MLAs into the police station. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy tried to raise the issue of arrest in the assembly. But, he said he was not given the mike. He slammed the arrest and condemned the ruling party for its high-handed behaviour.
Earlier in the day, Chevireddy staged a dharna outside the gate of the AP Assembly, but was arrested. After his release, he told the mediaperson that he would continue his deeksha. He said the TDP rule was worse than the Talibani rule.
