Chennai-Kaveri Express derails near Chittoor

The Chennai-Kaveri Express derailed near Chittoor this morning. The train, was travelling from Chennai to Mysore. The disaster struck at 4am in Malanoor Pulikonda. Reports say that the presence of rocks on the railway  track led to the engine's disaster. Passengers got anxious after the train bogies leaned when the engine went off track.

However, all the passengers are said to be safe. Passengers were transported to Malanoor railway station. The Railway authorities are planning to arrange a special train for the passengers of the train to ensure they reach their destination. All trains between Bangalore and Chennai have been cancelled following the disaster. And the trains that have started from Chennai towards Bangalore are running late.
