Chandrababu Starts Functioning From Velagapudi

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday started administration work from the interim state secretariat at Velagapudi, nearly after two months of inauguration of the Interim Government Complex (IGC).
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said all people to work together to build the state capital as a world-class city, adding that the entire administration would now function from Velagapudi
Naidu was given a grand welcome by the secretariat employees and officials who had been functioning at the camp office in Vijayawada for more than year.

He further said that this is the second time that people had to move to a new capital empty-handed. He recalled that the situation was same when the capital was shifted from Kurnool to Hyderabad.
The state administration had started functioning from the IGC on October 3 and the first cabinet meeting is scheduled to be held here on Thursday.
