Chandrababu is kingpin in cash for vote scam: Nayini
Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy said TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had played a key role in the TDP's botched up plan to buy out rival MLAs to win MLC polls.
"Revanth Reddy (the TDP MLA who was arrested) got entangled by giving an offer of Rs 5 crore to defeat our party (TRS) MLCs (candidates in council elections). But, Chandrababu too had made several calls to the TRS nominated MLA. We have his audio tapes and this clearly shows that he is the prime accused", the Home Minister said.
He said: "law will take its own course in the matter. Revanth Reddy was arrested on Sunday last for trying to bribe to nominated MLA."
Meanwhile, senior TDP leader S Chandramohan Reddy alleged that a conspiracy was hatched against Revanth Reddy. "Revanth is a young leader. He is growing in stature of late. Is it necessary to hatch such a conspiracy just becaue you are unable to answer the questions posed by Revanth in Legislative Assembly, outside, in the media?", the TDP leader said.
