Chandrababu's letter opposing mining removed from TDP site
Hyderabad: TDP official website on Friday removed Chandrababu’s letter against bauxite mining in north-Andhra region that he wrote to then Congress government in 2011 as opposition leader from the site. In the letter, Chandrababu Naidu stated that he was against the bauxite excavation in north-Andhra in an open letter.
As YSR Congress Party brought Chandrababu’s letter in front of media on Friday, revealing his dual attitude over the mining, Ruling TDP has removed the letter from the official site, which was present till Thursday.
Andhra Pradesh government had given green signal to bauxite mining on Thursday by passing GO No.97. According to the GO, in first phase 223 million tons of bauxite will be delved from the excavations in 3030 acres of land.
There has been a huge outrage from tribals and opposition parties including YSRCP against the move.
