Chandrababu Approved Sharing Corrupt Money Among TDP Cadre
A day after the Andhra Pradesh Minister Ch Adinarayana Reddy took everyone by surprise with his open statement explaining the quantum of corruption prevailing in the TDP government, yet another incident of similar nature came to light today. It is learnt that the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had to directly step in to calm down the tempers of the TDP leaders who were fighting among themselves to secure government project contracts.
Adinarayana Reddy and former Minister and senior TDP leader Subbareddy came together to pocket the tenders of a project related to Gandikota Rehabilitation Colony. TDP MP CM Ramesh had obstructed the tendering process. Angered over this, both the groups led by Adinarayana Reddy and Ramasubbareddy vandalised the office of Ritwik Projects Ltd in Kadapa which belonged to CM Ramesh. With the TDP leaders fighting for contracts, Chandrababu personally intervened into the issue and divided the shares meant for the leaders, it is alleged.
By steeply increasing the project estimates, Chandrababu had bought the opposition MLAs with the money he had accrued through the projects. So far, 23 MLA of YSRCP were lured into the ruling party with this illegal wealth. The Chief Minister has been inviting criticism from all sections of thwe people for buying MLAs offering a whopping amount of Rs 30 crore each, besides giving contracts and other benefits in their respective constituencies.
When the senior leaders opposed this move, Chandrababu had personally convened panchayat meetings to justify every leader. Ironically, the CM had also involved IAS officers in this scandal of making illegal wealth and asked the officials to support the TDP cadre in every constituency.
It may be recalled here, a couple of days ago, that YSR Congress Party MP Vijay Sai Reddy alleged that senior bureaucrats too were involved in large scale corruption in Andhra Pradesh. The bureaucrats are encouraging local TDP leaders on the behest of Chandrababu Naidu, the YSRCP MP had mentioned.
