The deeply shocked woman has been shifted to a nearby hospital.

New Delhi: A lady teacher was shot at for resisting chain-snatching attempt in national capital of Delhi. However, she had a miraculous escape as the bullet missed her by a whisker. But, the vengeful chain-snatchers dragged her as she tried to catch hold of them.

The police, who registered a case, suspect the snatchers are from UP.

The lady teacher along with her six-year-old son was waiting at a bus stop in Khajuri Khas. Two young men came to her on a bike and asked about a address. When she was explaining about the address, they tried to snatch her gold chain. Immediately, the lady teacher held the snatcher by his collar. In a bid to escape from the teacher, the snatcher in a jiffy took out pistol and shot at her.

Luckily, the lady teacher escaped the bullet. Snatchers then dragged the woman for sometime before they fled the scene. When the locals tried to catch them, the miscreants again fired in the air and fled the scene. The police, who registered a case, suspect the snatchers are from UP.
