'Capital must be between R'Seema and Coastal AP'

MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy found fault with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister for giving leaks on the new capital even while the Sivaramakrishnan Committee was still to finalise the capital site.

Speaking to reporters in Rayachoti on Monday, he said that the capital must be equidistant between Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra. “If it is not possible, a second capital must be formed in Rayalaseema. If these two things are not kept in mind, there could be trouble,” said the MLA.

“If we can’t form the capital at the right place, the future generations will suffer heavily. Atmospheric conditions too must be convenient for the people in the capital” said Srikanth Reddy.

He opined that Donakonda in Prakasam district is the right place to form the capital.
