Cab Driver Fined For Not Wearing ‘Helmet’

Hyderabad: A taxi driver was baffled after he was fined for an offence which he didn't commit. Vishnu was fined Rs100 on Tuesday in Somajiguda for not wearing a helmet. The traffic police sent a message to the owner of the vehicle TS09ES4716 for breaching traffic rule by not wearing helmet, adding that a legal action would be initiated if the fine was not paid.

"I was stopped and asked to furnish requisite document to which I obliged, but later I discovered that I was fined for not wearing a helmet," said the cab driver.
When the car owner approached traffic DCP AV Ranganath, the official realized the goof-up and said, “It is a mistake. Such mistakes do happen as challans are given to several drivers in a day."
