BJP Councillor Hacked To Death Near Bengaluru
Bengaluru: A BJP councillor was hacked to death by unidentified assailants at Anekal in Bengaluru rural district on Tuesday.
"BJP councillor and Dalit leader Srinivas Prasad, popularly known as Kithaganahalli Vasu, was stabbed with sharp weapons around 5 AM," Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police Vinit Singh said.
"It is too early to comment on it as we are investigating the case." Singh said. We have to find out the motive of the offenders behind his killing, SP said. The councillor was attacked on his way to the morning walk in a car. The mob intercepted the vehicle, then pulled the councillor from the car and stabbed him with knives.The reasons for the attacks are not known. The wife of the deceased is a member of the district panchayat.
The police registered the case and suspect the attack was due to land disputes.
