Balayya Occupies Chandrababu’s Chair at CMO, Courts Controversy
Vijayawada: Whether it is on film sets or in public, actor-turned-politician Balakrishna is known for his eccentric behaviour. Now, in the absence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Balakrishna sat in the CM's chair in the conference hall of the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) here in Velagapudi Secretariat on Wednesday.
The Hindupur MLA was at Secretariat to convene a meeting with officials pertaining to his constituency which Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao also attended.
Usually, the MLAs follow official protocol wherein they go to the chambers of the officials, especially CMO, to discuss the issues related to developmental works of their constituency. Breaking the rule, Balakrishna directly walked towards CM's chair and sat on it without any hestitation.
This behavior of Balakrishna did not go well with the TDP leaders and senior officials at the Secretariat. Some felt that it is inappropriate on the MLAs part to occupy the Chief Minister’s chair and the fact that he is Chandrababu’s brother-in-law does not give him any special privileges or entitlement.
