The woman was not only injured in the vicious attack but was also paralyzed. However, she resumed her official duties after she was back to good health
The police from two states - Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka - have been on the lookout for the assailant and have even announced Rs 12 lakh reward for anyone who provides information about him.
It may be recalled that the spine-chilling event took place in September 2013, wherein the victim Jyothi Uday was attacked with a machete in an ATM kiosk in Bengaluru.
