AP to have more Bars under New Licence Policy
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh will have more number of bars and restaurants in the state under the new licence policy finalized by the government on Sunday.Another 200 bars will come up under the new policy increasing the total number of bars from the present 770 to 990. The current year license will expire on December 31 and the new policy will come into effect from January 1, 2016.
The new licence policy has been formulated on the basis of the population proportion according to the 2011 census figures. The government is expecting to earn Rs330 crore from licences for the year.
