AP S new capital named AMARAVATHI
The most awaited capital of AP to be named Amaravithi . The Chandrababu Naidus’ government looks likes it has locked upon the name Amaravithi for its new capital.
Though the announcement was to be made on the 21 of march itself as a part of the governments ‘UGADI’ celebrations at Anantha Varam village of Tulluru Mandalam in Guntur district , they had to go back on it given the lengthy celebration that stretched longer than the expected. The Chief minister is said to have carried his set of papers describing the opulent history of AMARAVATHI, all set to make the big announcement. We expect to have the information out officially very soon.
Amaravathi is originally the name of a region that holds a reckoned history of great rulers that ruled it from satavahanas, Andhra Ikshvakus , Pallavas, Eastern Chalukyas, Cholas, to the Kota kings and kakatiyas . It is named after the Amareshwara temple of Lord Shiva which is one among the ‘Pancharamas’ . it also is known for its Buddist sanctum built during the Ashoka s’ Era that later was run down with the down trend of Buddisam in india. The Amarvathi art holds a high place too , infact like Ellora and Hampi even Amaravathi is known for its art of sculpturing . It also hosted one of the Major school of arts in the “Bartha Kanda” between 200-100BC.
