Antony committee may visit Andhra Pradesh soon - Sakshi Post

The AK Antony Committee, appointed by Congress to look into the situation following its decision to support the creation of a separate Telangana state, is likely to visit Andhra Pradesh soon, Union Textiles Minister KS Rao said in Hyderabad on Wednesady.

The committee has been appointed by the party high command due to our efforts. We understand they would listen to the views of the people in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema and see the intensity of the agitation (for an united Andhra Pradesh). They said they will come here. They would come soon, said Rao, a leader from the Seemandhra region.

AP ministers from Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema had urged the Congress leadership to send a team of Union ministers to the state soon to hear out the Seemandhra activists who have been agitating against the proposed division for the last two months.
Apart from Defence Minister Antony, the panel comprises Union Minister Veerappa Moily, AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh (who is the in-charge for party affairs in AP), and Congress President Sonia Gandhi's political secretary, Ahmed Patel.
