Anjali must pay Rs 50k maintenance to Bharathi
One case was dismissed, while another was filed against actress, Anjali. However, the actress of 'Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' fame did not get any relief in other cases filed against her. The controversy between Anjali and her step-mother, Bharathi Devi took a new turn on Wednesday.
Her aunt filed a petition at the Chennai family court asking Anjali to pay a maintenance charge of Rs 50,000 every month.
Bharathi mentioned in her petition that she had spent Rs 70 lakhs on Anjali, but now that the actress is living away from her, she has to pay Rs 50k per month as she is earning now. It remains to be seen what Anjali has to say to her step-mom's demand and if she will accept that Bharathi spent so much money on her and if so, for what!
The court admitted to the petition and adjourned the hearing to August 14.
It's a known fact that in another case, Tamil film director, Kalanjiyam had filed a petition in the court saying Anjali’s remarks had hurt the sentiments of his supporters and the court issued summons to the actress directing her to appear before it. Anjali failed to appear before court and skipped proceedings several times. Expressing anger over Anjali's indifference, the court has given her a one week ultimatum.
