CCTV Surveillance For Grama Sachivalaya Exam
Amaravati: The government of Andhra Pradesh is all set to hold examinations from September 1, for recruitment of various categories of employees in village secretariat or Grama Sachivalaya/ Ward .
As part of Navaratnalu, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed officials to launch the recruitment drive of employees for the village secretariat. Once the system is put in place, services related to revenue, panchayat raj, police, health, fisheries and agriculture sectors, among others, would be available at the village level.
The state government has already released a notification for filling up 1, 26, 728 posts in all and has received applications from candidates in large numbers. Examinations are scheduled to be held on September 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 in morning and afternoon sessions. Hall-tickets have been rolled out for the convenience of candidates to ensure that they write the exam in the centre located in the nearest mandal.
The state government, on its part, is taking all steps to ensure that there is no room for malpractices. Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed officials to ensure complete transparency in the process. State government officials have taken steps to install CCTV surveillance cameras and where this is not possible the exams would be video-graphed.
Among the steps being taken by the authorities is the appointment of government employees as invigilators. Police officials are making special arrangements for the safe-keeping of question papers and OMR sheets in strong rooms.
Officials have also cautioned candidates not to fall prey to conmen who would promise to land them government jobs. It also warned tricksters trying to do so of criminal action.
Selected candidates for Grama Sachivalaya volunteers would be placed on probation for a period of two years and would be paid Rs. 15,000. Subsequently, the government would extend pay scales to them as applicable.
