YS Jagan To Hold Praja Darbar From August 1, Clarifies Kanna Babu
Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will hold Praja Darbar from August 1 onwards as against the earlier announced July 1. Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kanna Babu made a statement to this effect.
Speaking to press persons, after closeted Cabinet sub-committee meet with YS Jagan, here on Sunday, Kanna Babu said: "Although it is being circulated in the media that Praja Darbar will be held from July 1. But there's a clarification here that it will be from August 1."
As Assembly sessions are scheduled in July, Kanna Babu said it would not be possible to hold Praja Darbar immediately as necessary arrangements had to be made for people who come from long distances to meet and represent directly to the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister will directly receive complaints, applications, grievances and appeals during the course of Praja Darbar. He will issue necessary instructions for the immediate resolution of problems. YS Jagan took this decision to be directly accessible to people, following in the footsteps of late Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy who used to conduct Praja Darbar.
