Vaikunta Ekadasi 2025: Tirupati's Complete Guide for Pilgrims

 - Sakshi Post

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer (EO) J Syamala Rao has emphasized that providing Vaikunta Dwara Darshan to common pilgrims is the highest priority for TTD. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, the EO outlined detailed plans for the Vaikunta Ekadasi and Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam from January 10 to 19, 2025.

To accommodate up to seven lakh devotees, TTD has made extensive arrangements, ensuring a smooth and safe darshan experience. The Vaikunta Dwara will remain open for ten days, and the darshan will begin with protocol darshan on January 10 at 4:30 am, followed by Sarva Darshan at 8 am.

On Vaikunta Ekadasi, devotees will be able to witness Sri Malayappa Swamy along with Sri Devi and Bhu Devi, who will bless the pilgrims on a golden chariot along the four mada streets of the temple from 9 am to 11 am. Afterward, from 12 noon to 4 pm, Malayappa Swamy will offer darshan at the Vahana Mandapam.

On Vaikunta Dwadasi, a special Chakra Snanam will be held from 5:30 am to 6:30 am. To manage the huge number of pilgrims expected, Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) tokens will be issued at 90 counters spread across eight centers in Tirupati and four counters in Tirumala starting from January 9.

Due to limited accommodation in Tirumala, only devotees holding darshan tokens or tickets will be allowed into queues at their designated times. In addition, TTD has arranged parking for about 12,000 vehicles at various locations, including near MBC, Outer Ring Road, and RBGH Area, to avoid congestion.

TTD is also enhancing services like Annaprasadam, additional sanitation, floral decorations, and electrical illumination by Mysore Dasara Experts to improve the experience. More than 3,000 Srivari Sevaks, Scouts, and Guides will assist pilgrims throughout the ten days.

For security, around 3,000 police personnel will be deployed across Tirupati and Tirumala, ensuring safety and smooth operations, particularly at the darshan centers.
