Mangalagiri: A boy who was missing for the past two days, was found dead in an unused well at Mangalagiri town in Guntur district.

When he didn't come home, his father Sankar Rao, filed a missing complaint with the local police. The police and Sankar Rao checked with their relatives and searched the surrounding areas , but could not find him.
On Tuesday morning they got information that the boy's body was found in an unused well which was located behind 'Munasabugari Mill' in the town. They identified the body to be that of Vasu and informed his parents.
Since it had been more than three days, the body was bloated and decomposed. It is believed that he would have accidently slipped fallen in the well on Sunday itself.
Locals informed the police that the kids would play cricket in the ground close to the well and that he was seen playing until six in the evening.
They said that the well was defunct for many years and garbage was being thrown into it. A fortnight ago a kid had slipped and fallen into the well, but was luckily saved by construction workers who were working close by. They demanded that either the well be closed or a fence be erected around it to prevent further accidents.
