Chittoor Student Commits Suicide After Failing In Intermediate Exam
Tirupati: A 17-year-old student of a private school committed suicide after failing in the Intermediate exams, the results of which were declared on Friday.
The deceased student identified as B. Bhanu Chandu committed suicide by hanging from a tree at Gudurupalli in Punganur mandal of Chittoor district on Saturday.
Police said Chandu had written his exam in the CEC group and was a student in a private college at Thatimakula Pelam.
Rural sub-inspector P. Arun Kumar Reddy said that locals informed his father after finding his body hanging from the tree and informed the police.
Police took the body to hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered and further probe is underway.
In yet another incident, a 16-year-old girl, in the first year at a private college in Tirumala attempted suicide after failing in three subjects. She hanged herself from the ceiling fan when her parents were alerted and immediately took her to the hospital. Her condition is critical.
