Transfer NIA Probe On YS Jagan Attack To Vijayawada, Hand Over Case Documents, Court Rules
Vijayawada: Hearing the petition filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) citing that the Andhra Pradesh government was not cooperating in the probe on the attack on Leader of Opposition in AP legislative assembly and YSR Congress Party President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Metropolitan Court on Wednesday ruled that the case be transferred to Vijayawada from Visakhapatnam. It may be recalled that the NIA took up the case on the attack on the Opposition leader.
YS Jagan was attacked with a sharp knife inside the VIP lounge of Visakhapanam airport on October 25, 2018. After having examined the particulars of the case, the Judge ruled that the case be transferred to Vijayawada.
In a key direction, the Court also instructed the government to submit all the documents pertaining to the case to the national agency.
