It was reported that the TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu had promised him an MLC seat. However, with the party being routed in the Assembly elections there was no scope for him getting in any role in the future , which fuelled the need to shift parties.
It is also said that Vanagaveeti Radha was not able to adjust and carry on in any Party and was also accused of showing disinterest while participating in party activities. This could prove to be a disadvantage for the Jana Sena Party, which is in the process of assessing its losses, and revive the party's low morale.
Apart from TDP’s dismal performance in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, the other major upset was the performance of Jana Sena Party.
After having contested in 140 seats out of 175, JSP was able to win only one seat in Razole. Its Party founder Pawan Kalyan himself lost to YSRCP contestants in both the constituencies of Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram from where he had contested in a humiliating defeat.
