Amaravati: Industries, IT and Commercial Taxes Minister Mekapati Gowtham Reddy promised that the YSRCP government would expand Business Processing Organisations (BPOs) to villages to help rural youth to secure employment.

Speaking to press persons after taking charge as Minister in the Secretariat on Wednesday, he said his department would verify and ascertain if the companies set up during the TDP regime were genuine or not. However, he assured that genuine firms would not face any difficulty.

Affirming that Special Status was the right of Andhra Pradesh, he said it would encourage companies to come forward to set up their units in the State due to tax incentives. He said the government would look into grievances of industries and they had already received complaints from 42 companies from across the State. He also informed that his department was already looking into issues concerning the establishment of steel factory in Kadapa.
