Security Beefed Up As Andhra Pradesh Assembly Sessions To Begin Tomorrow

Andhra Pradesh Assembly sessions will commence from Wednesday at 11:05 AM - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: After YSRCP scripting a historic win at the hustings, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly sessions will commence from Wednesday at 11:05 AM.

To begin with, the Protem Speaker Sambangi Appala Naidu will administer the oath to 174 MLAs who recently won the Assembly elections. On Thursday, the Assembly Secretariat will issue a notification for the election of Speaker.

Following this, Governor ESL Narsimhan will deliver an address to the joint houses of Legislative Assembly and Council on Friday. Then a Business Advisory Committee is then formed, with legislators from all parties, to come up with an agenda as how to go about the Assembly sessions in the days to come. In all likelihood, the Assembly sessions are expected to go on until June 17 and June 18.

The Andhra Pradesh Police, NSG, and Octopus agencies have beefed up security in and around the Assembly in Amaravati. Around 1600 phalanx of policemen have been commissioned for the security during the sessions and to respond to any untoward incident. The security personnel have already held a mock drill on Monday night in the vicinity of Assembly.
