Amaravathi: The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Gopal Krishna Dwivedi said that there has been a substantial increase in the number of postal and service votes polled in the elections held this year. However, when compared to the postal ballots, the service votes were less in number. Based on the information given by the election officials, the number of service votes district-wise as on May 20 is as follows:
Srikakulam – 8,121
Vizianagaram – 2,564
Visakhapatnam – 3,333
East Godavari - 923
Krishna - 457
Guntur – 3,036
Prakasam – 3,765
Nellore - 362
Kadapa - 1175
Kurnool – 1,935
Anantapur – 1,676
Chittoor – 2,185

• The total number of service votes counted in the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies is 2,86,62,175
• The total number of service votes polled in the Assembly segments is 29,53,225.
• Form 12 (postal ballot applications) received from Parliamentary constituencies is 3,17,291
• Postal ballots issued in the Lok Sabha constituencies is 3,00,957
• Number of postal ballots received by the Returning Officers in the Lok Sabha constituencies is 2,14,937
• Number of applications filed for postal ballots in 13 districts is 3,18,530
• and the number accepted is 3,05,040
• Total Number of Postal ballots received as on May 20 is 2,11,623
