YSRCP Victory In AP: Telangana CM
Vikarabad: Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party Chief K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) came out strongly in response to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's comments on him.Speaking at an election campaign rally held in Vikarabad ,Telangana , on Monday,he said that Chandrababu Naidu was making disparaging comments and attacking him for the past two days. To the extent, he was also cursing Hyderabad and said that the city would lose its glory and that he could undo what he had done for Hyderabad.
Referring to Chandrababu's alleged attack on his stance on the issue of special status for Andhra Pradesh, KCR said his party supported the demand of giving Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh. He also stated that the TRS MPs have already supported the Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh in the parliament and would continue to support them in future.
KCR was confident that the TRS, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and the AIMIM together would have 35-36 MPs in the Lok Sabha out of the 42 seats in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
KCR predicted that the YSRCP was going to win in a big way. He said that the latest surveys also predicted the same .TRS MPs would also support the cause of special status for AP, which would put pressure on the centre for the grant of SCS, he said.
The reality is that Chandrababu is going to lose deposits in Andhra Pradesh, he said in a very emphatic statement. Our MP's have supported the SCS demand in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha in the past and we will continue to support, KCR he said.
Speaking further, he said that the people of Telangana never wished any harm on the people of Andhra. The TRS supported the construction of Polavaram multi-purpose irrigation project in Andhra Pradesh but also wanted Telangana to get its share. Telangana did not have any dispute with people of Andhra Pradesh and the problem was only with a few allegedly trouble-some people like Chandrababu, he said.
