Mohan Babu staging a protest demanding student fee reimbursement
Tirupati: Telugu film actor and Chairman of Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Institutions Mohan Babu is likely to be put under house arrest by the Tirupati police officials today.
Mohan Babu had earlier stated that the Andhra Pradesh government owes more than Rs 20 Crores in fee reimbursement to the students of Sree Vidyanikethan , which he is running in Tirupati. The students were yet to receive the reimbursement amount since the past three years and were in deep financial crisis, he said. For the sake of their academic future he wanted to stage a protest in Tirupati, he said. Several petitions were also filed, but there was no response from the Chandrababu Government, he said. If the government still did not respond to the protest and reimburse the fees, he threatened to go to court to claim the fees.
Mohan Babu along with the students of Sree Vidyanikethan , his sons Manchu Vishnu and Manoj together started their protest at 7:00 am on the streets in front of the school in Rangampeta, Tirupati Rural.
Traffic up to 15 kms has been stalled on the Tirupati- Pileru road stretch . Tirupati Rural Police have deployed a large number of police personnel around the school premises.
Wanted to take a peaceful rally today in Tirupathi protesting the non payment of the fee reimbursement of the students by the Govt.... Police have arrived at our home in Tirupathi and looks like they are not going to allow the rally.

Why is The government not paying the students fee? And the rally I want to is for the students. I don’t gain anything from it. 19 crores have been pending and for what? Why isn’t the government honoring their commitment????

Mohan Babu’s son actor Vishnu Manchu who is one of the members of the Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust, took to the Micro blogging site -Twitter to express solidarity with his father’s protest and took a jibe at others educational institutions who were not talking about the fee reimbursement issue.
Check out his Tweet.
Father has never been a person who can be bullied. He taught us to challenge bullies. Why other college owners are not talking about the fee reimbursement, only they can answer. Either they are scared of the big bullies or in bed with them.
