Rajahmundry: National President of BJP Amit Shah predicted that it was countdown to the end of Andhra Pradesh chief minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu's regime. Shah mounted scathing criticism of the TDP supremo, accusing him of being a repeat backstabber. Amit Shah referred to Chandrababu's betrayal of his father-in-law and former AP chief minister, NT Rama Rao, former prime minister A.B. Vajpayee and PM Narendra Modi.

Predicting imminent defeat for TDP in the upcoming elections, the BJP president slammed Chandrababu Naidu for neglecting development in his own state and going to West Bengal, Delhi and Tamil Nadu for staging protests. Amit Shah also cited major projects undertaken by the NDA-led government at the Centre in AP. Similarly, the BJP president also cited 20 central educational institutions established by the PM Modi government in the state. Amit Shah pointed out that the Centre had released funds for the construction of the capital of AP, Amaravati and the Polavaram project. The BJP president accused the TDP government led by Chandrababu Naidu of diversion of funds. Shah said that the AP chief minister resorted to a campaign of slander claiming the NDA government was not sanctioning funds to AP, when his government was asked to account for funds released to the state for various schemes and projects.
