Kotla Harshavardhan Reddy To Join YSRCP
Kodumuru: Kotla Harshavardhan Reddy, brother of former Union Minister Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy is all set to join the YSR Congress party. Prior to this, he held a meeting with his followers and supporters from Kodumuru, Gonegandla, Devanakonda and enlisted their support in making this decision. Talking to the media, Kotla Harshavardhan Reddy said, that the TDP and Congress which had been the arch-rivals, have come together with an unnatural alliance. "I cannot work in the Congress by putting my self-respect at stake", he said.
Harshavardhan added, that if he had to make the aspirations of the people who have placed their belief in him possible, he had no choice but to join the YSRCP. After a holding long discussions with the followers from Aluru, Yemmiganur, Kodumuru, Kotla decided to join the YSRCP on 6th February, in the presence of Leader of Opposition Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Harshavardhan Reddy remarked that his brother Suryaprakash’s views of aligning himself with others were not acceptable to him. He added that the development of Andhra Pradesh was possible only with YS Jagan. Hence Kotla remarked that he was quitting Congress and joining YSRCP. Also present in the meeting were MPP Raghunath Reddy, Pyalakurthy Harshavardhan Reddy, former sarpanch CB Latha, Single-window president Madhusudhan Reddy, and others.
Recently official spokesperson of the Congress party Kanumuru Ravi Chandra Reddy also has quit the party and joined the YSRCP. Another MLA from Rajampet Mallikarjuna is also all set to join the YSR Congress party . With the elections approaching, the influx into YSRCP is growing steadily.
