Yellow Links To YS Jagan Attacker Exposed
The yellow links and the larger conspiracy behind the cowardly attack on Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, are becoming increasingly apparent, as local villagers, colleagues and others have come forward to shed light on the attacker, Srinivasa Rao.
The assailant who made the murder attempt belongs to Thanelanka, a remote village in East Godavari district. Beginning from here, the plot to attack the AP leader of opposition found its way to the restaurant in the airport in Visakhapatnam, it is being pointed out. Several facts have reportedly emerged linking the attacker directly to the Telugu Desam Party. Details which have now emerged show that Srinivasa Rao and his family have strong links with the TDP. In fact, when Srinivasa Rao's name was proposed for membership of the local Janmabhoomi committee, another group from the ruling party is said to have opposed it. It now becomes apparent, sources say, that he was handpicked for this vicious attack by TDP leaders. Srinivasa Rao seems to have been a beneficiary of their largesse, it is being said.
The attacker was not only given a higher salary than his colleagues, but his house rent was also taken care of, raising eyebrows now as observers and analysts are trying to piece the puzzle together. There is every reason to suspect that a much bigger amount had changed hands to deliver the attacker into carrying out this murder attempt. In one sense, this is akin to a supari contract. The attacker, Srinivasa Rao, started leading a lavish lifestyle and reportedly even began negotiations for 4 acres of land at Rs.1 crore. It becomes apparent that this was being done under the guidance of TDP leaders. Several shocking facts emerge from accounts of people working at Visakhapatnam airport, along with facts from the attacker’s village.
Srinivasa Rao had barely enough money to get by, while his father Tata Rao is a daily-wage labourer. Tata Rao has 5 sons and a daughter, and while he was given a house under the housing scheme another house was allotted to his brother, Subba Raju. They were sanctioned an amount of Rs. 2.5 lakhs for each house. In contrast, the application of the local YSRCP Gram Panchayat president, Nakka Ram Babu was not even accepted, it is being pointed out.
What has struck villagers as odd, is the unrepentant behaviour of the family members of the attacker, Srinivasa Rao. They are said to have shown no remorse on his murder attempt on YS Jagan.
Sowing of the seeds...
Srinivasa Rao, an expert at tying the sharp knives used in cock fights, came to Visakhapatnam in January it is being said, for a major cockfighting competition organised by Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, the Visakhapatnam (East) MLA. The talk now is that it was at that point that Harshavardhan Chowdary, the restaurant contractor, came into contact with Srinivasa Rao. It is being said that the seeds of this murderous attack on YS Jagan were sown back then. Once Srinivasa Rao was taken fully into confidence, he was employed in the restaurant after obtaining a no objection certificate from the police, it is believed. The rent for his accommodation was reportedly being paid by the restaurant contactor, Harshavardhan Chowdary, his employer. The restaurant contractor has been telling media persons that he employed Srinivasa Rao as the chief cook in his establishment and that he was paying him a salary of Rs.20,000 a month. The question which then crops up is why is he paying his chief cook‘s rent ? Is he according similar treatment to all his employees? The answer comes in the negative from other employees at the restaurant. Others were reportedly being paid less than Rs.10,000 each, a month. In contrast, Srinivasa Rao, whom the contractor had employed 8 months ago, was being paid Rs. 20,000 a month. It is learnt that as per part of a strategy, others were brought in to share accommodation with the attacker, which included a Telugu person and two others from Gwalior in MP.
Further, it is learnt that the knife used in the attack, as also another knife recovered by the police, were kept in the restaurant at the airport--Fusion Foods. Moreover, while others kept their bags in a room next to the kitchen, Srinivasa Rao alone reportedly kept his bag near the cash counter, where CCTV surveillance footage was unclear, his colleagues revealed. His behaviour seemed suspicious, they said. After his return from a trip to his village a week ago, Srinivasa Rao is reported to have told his colleagues that he would soon create a sensation. On Thursday, Srinivasa Rao, who usually came to work in the A shift, showed up in the B shift, as revealed by his colleagues and insisted on serving the Leader of Opposition in AP assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Though the AP officials have stated that there is no CCTV surveillance in Fusion Foods, the entire area is fully covered by CCTV it is learnt. Police officials have so far not made an attempt to explain or reveal details of CCTV footage related to the entire incident and the manner in which the knife was concealed by Srinivasa Rao behind a water bottle.
