KTR condemned the attack on YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy - Sakshi Post

Telangana caretaker minister for IT K Taraka Rama Rao condemned the attack on Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress party (YSRCP) Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He hoped for YS Jagan's quick recovery.

Earlier this afternoon, while YS Jagan was seated in the premium lounge in Visakhapatnam airport this afternoon, Janipalli Srinivasa Rao, a waiter in Fusion Foods at the airport, approached YS Jagan seeking a selfie with him. In an apparently planned attack on the YSRCP Chief, the culprit attacked YS Jagan's shoulder. He hid a sharp knife behind a bottle in his hand.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MP K Kavitha also condemned the attack on the YSRCP Chief. In two tweets, the Nizamabad MP tweeted, "We are a nation built on the values of non violence , even when we disagree. The attack on @ysjagan is despicable & cowardly. I strongly condemn it & oppose any culture of violence in politics. As a system we need to strengthen our security measures to ensure that such lowly acts are never successful in destroying our country’s ethos."

On the other side, the Jana Sena party (JSP), in a statement released on its Twitter handle, called the dangerous attack on YS Jagan as an inhuman act. "Everybody who believes in democracy should condemn it (the attack)," it said.

Meanwhile, TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy also condemned the attack on YSR Congress party (YSRCP) YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Visakhapatnam Airport.

"Severely condemn the knife attack on @Ysjagan at Vizag airport. A proper inquiry should be done immediately. Wish him good health & long life. There is no place for such acts of violence in a democracy," he said.
