He had arrived at Vajrapukothuru mandal to visit the villages of Garudabadra, Baipalli, Bathupuram Chinavanka, Dokulapadu, Thadivada and Kidisingi and at every village he stopped, he met people protesting against the lack of basic relief supplies.

As he was speaking in the Chinavanka village a section of people prevented him from speaking by raising slogans against the CM. Infuriated, he told them to shut up and stop arguing and listen to what he had to say. He further said that he had 40 years of political experience and not to misbehave with him. Chandrababu also warned them that he would crush them with a bulldozer if they protested further.

A section of women asked him to waive their loans to which he replied that there was no money in the state treasury and also apprised him that the employment guarantee scheme was not yet implemented. The local Palasa MLA Gouthu Sivaji intervened and said he would bring it to the notice of the Minister Achannaidu, but the CM said that the minister was helpless in the matter. Chandrababu tried to assure the victims that the government would extend support and relief to the district of Srikakulam and that he was also asking other states to contribute to the relief fund and operations, but the victims were highly unsatisfied with his response and left.
