Pawan Blames Corrupt TDP Govt for Kurnool Quarry Blast
Kurnool: Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan visited the quarry blast site at Hattibelagal in Aaluru mandal of Kurnool district today to enquire about the details of the incident from the local people. Later speaking to media, Pawan said that it was an unfortunate incident.
The Jana Sena chief alleged that such incidents were happening due to the corrupt TDP leaders and the support they received from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. To protect his party leaders, the CM was ready to forego People's issues. At least now, after seeing the deaths of poor labourers, the government should act immediately and close down all the illegal mining companies in the state, he said.
Pawan alleged that right from north Andhra till Rayalaseema, illegal mining was rampant across the state. He asked if the state government existed at all. He asked what were the ministers and government officials doing when such illegal mining activity was being carried out in the state.
Thanks to the liberty given by the TDP government to the police, who are allowing everyone to start mining, he asserted. In Kurnool district, there were 1600 quarries. "I have information that more than half of these are illegal quarries, he said." He added that people had who met him shared their problems with him. He would react to those issues at the right time, he added.
