Chandrababu Desperate For Alliance With Congress: YSRCP
Kurnool: YSR Congress Party MLA Ijayya was surprised by the sensational statements made by Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and said they were representative of his double standards. Speaking at the party office here today, he said he was surprised when Chandrababu said that Polavaram was the brainchild of Congress. "Chandrababu was desperate to have an alliance with Congress for the next elections and this is the reason he was camouflaging the truth," he said.
He said Chandrababu's cheap attitude was clear when he refused to mention former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy while talking about Polavaram project. The AP CM had forgotten that without Dr YSR there was no Polavaram. He said the project was started in 2007 by Dr YSR, who had completed 30 per cent works with Rs 5,135 crores. Ijayya said that it was due to the initiatives like Jala Yagnam of Dr YSR that people were not facing drinking or irrigation water problems.

The YSRCP MLA further said Chandrababu was planning to win the next elections with money earned through corruption. The AP CM was ready to distribute Rs 5000 per vote. He was surprised as to why Chandrababu was not calling for an inquiry into the allegations of corruption that BJP was making about him and his party.
Ijayya said it was unfortunate that we have a CM who doesn't dare to speak to the Prime Minister for the benefit of the state. "Let Chandrababu have alliances with as many parties as he can, but the victory in next elections will be of YSRCP," he added.
