Faye D’Souza, an anchor at Mirror Now, made headlines for her succinct reply to Maulana Yasoob Abbas on being told to come to her workplace in an “underwear” during a television debate.

The anchor held a discussion on Friday amid trolls on Dangal star, Sana Fatima Sheikh, over her pictures in bikini which were considered in bad taste by the Muslim community particularly in the holy month of Ramzan. As she tried to tell the religious leader that a woman has right to wear what she wants, he retorted, "I am telling you, wear an underwear and come. You will become equal to men. Wear underwear and come to debate. There will be equality between men and women."

I am telling you, wear an underwear and come. You will become equal to men. Wear underwear and come to debate. There will be equality between men and women

However, the anchor remained composed and before she gave a befitting reply asked the other panelist to maintain silence. She then said, "He (Maulana) hopes that he will rile me up. He hopes that I will throw a fit, and I will lose control of my panel and forget how to do my job. Let me tell you Maulana ji, I have seen the likes of you. I am not afraid of you, I am not threatened by you, I am not rattled by you. All you men think that if you rattle Sana Fatima when she is doing her job, if you rattle Sania Mirza while she is doing her job, if you rattle women then they will run back into their kitchens and leave the world for you again to conquer, I have news for you, we are not going anywhere.”

Maulana, who tried to defend was put to silence and ran short of words. Finally, the anchor stood by Sana Fatima’s choice of clothes.
