Amma Advisory to Party MPs

Chennai: Tamil Nadu chief minister and leader of AIADMK J Jayalalitha held a meeting with the party's MPs in Chennai on Tuesday, in view of the upcoming winter session of the Parliament.

Jayalalithaa advised the MPs on the line to be taken in Parliament so as to protect the interests of Tamil Nadu. They included attacks on Tamil Nadu fishermen and seizure of fishing boats by Sri Lankan authorities. However, the chief minister was said to have instructed the MPs to highlight the plight of the Tamil Nadu people in the floods that ravaged the state in the past 10 days. She highlighted the need to convince the Parliament that more funds are needed to bring relief to the flood-affected state.
The meeting was held in the state Secretariat and attended by party MPs from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The winter session of Parliament is scheduled to start from November 26.
