30 Labourers Stranded in Papagni River - Sakshi Post

Chittoor: Thirty labourers were stranded in flood waters of Papagni river at Sadum village in Peddatippasamudram mandal in Chittoor district on Tuesday.
They were working near Vyasaraya Samudram near the Papagni river, when the river water rose without warning. Most of the land around them was submerged leaving them stranded. All the labourers are said to be from Karnataka. Efforts to rescue them were hampered as the road leading to Peddatippasamudram mandal has been cut off due to heavy rain.
