Agriculture budget 2014-15
Agriculture Minister Prattipati Pullarao introduced special agricultural budget for 2014-15 in the state assembly on Friday. The same budget is introduced in legislative council by Irrigation minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao.
The plan expenditure is shown as Rs.6735 cr and the non plan expenditure is shown as Rs.6374 cr.
An amount of Rs.5,000 cr was allocated for waiving off crop loans in the state.
About Rs.212 cr was allocated for concessions on seed supply.
An amount of Rs.30 cr was given for YSR Horticultural University from central funds.
Water management and drip irrigation got an amount of Rs.348 cr.
Rs.112 cr was allocated for Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University.
An amount of Rs.3188 cr was allocated for providing free power. Seven hours of free power supply will be given to farmers in the state. However, efforts will be made to increase the free power supply to nine hours.
An amount of Rs. 60 cr was allocated for fisheries industry.
The centre gave its permission for establishing N.G.Ranga Agricultural University in the state. For this purpose an amount of Rs. 50 cr was allocated. For this, the state government sanctioned an amount of Rs. 192 cr.
An amount of Rs. 59 cr was allocated for oil seeds and oil farm machines.
An amount of Rs.230 cr was allocated for the allied departments under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana scheme.
An amount of Rs. 122 cr was sanctioned for silk industry.
Veterinary department will get an amount of Rs.723 cr.
Cooperation department will get an amount of Rs.156 cr.
Farm loans upto Rs. 3 lakhs with Pavala Vaddi. This will be given only to farmers who paid their loan amount within a stipulated time.
